| We invite all interested students from Chilean and international universities, who are currently working on their undergraduate or graduate thesis projects, to participate with their projects in the VII Mining Plant Maintenance Meeting - MAPLA 2010 to be held in Santiago, Chile from 1 - 3 September 2010.
OBJECTIVES
MAPLA 2010 is organised to provide a forum where mining maintenance professionals, operators, researchers and suppliers may exchange experiences and discuss recent innovations in plant maintenance, asset management and mining smelters.

- Best Maintenance Practices
- Equipment Availability and Reliability
- Limiting Operational Conditions
- Inspection Techniques
- Diagnostic and Failure Solutions
- Maintenance Strategies and Software
- Health, Safety and Environment
- Maintainability in Plant Design.
To be considered for a scholarship, candidates should send an abstract of his/her thesis, of maximum 2 pages long, and a Power Point presentation containing no more than 15 slides before 1 June 2010 to

The abstract and the presentation must comply with the standards established for authors who are participating in the event. The Technical Committee will choose 10 presentations that will then be considered for the poster sessions together with the presentations of other authors. Only one scholarship will be awarded per thesis project.
The abstract must contain the author's full contact information, university and department, and supervising professor (full name, contact telephone and email address).
