It is my pleasure to invite you to participate in the VII International Mining Plant Maintenance Meeting – MAPLA 2010, to be held from 1 – 3 September 2010 at the Sheraton Santiago Hotel & Convention Center.

I would like to highlight the accomplishments of this event, which has grown in relevance and has become essential for many consumers and companies.

Without a doubt, this is an excellent opportunity to share experiences and innovations, review aspects of management, analyse technical material and promote the exchange of knowledge in such a way that we may identify best practices and management techniques to face future challenges.

Our current and future challenges in safety, environment, communities and social, technical and economic issues are not minor. They impact and will continue to impact strongly in our daily tasks as plant maintenance professionals.

For this reason, I wish to reiterate my invitation to professionals, national and international companies, maintenance operators, suppliers and academics to participate in this great event.
